What is Stage IV Cancer?
When cancer has spread (metastasized) to organs beyond the primary tumor location, it is considered Stage IV. In Meghan’s case, the cancer first spread to her liver, then to her right lung, and has now returned to her liver. Her risk of continued recurrence has statistically risen from 10-20% per year to upwards of 60% per year. The treatments and supplements for which she is fundraising are meant to help her body heal, and - God willing - prevent any further recurrence.
